Identities of the accused have not yet been revealed. Police have only stated that they have arrested three people in connection with the case. They are being interrogated. This is a highly sensitive matter and we will provide further information later.

Earlier on Saturday, police reported that an Odisha medical student was allegedly raped by unknown individuals in Durgapur.
The incident occurred outside the campus of a private medical college in Durgapur on Friday night when the second-year student had gone out to dinner with a friend.

The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital and has given her statement to the police. The incident has sparked a political war of words between the ruling Trinamool Congress and opposition parties.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed concern over the incident and urged West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to take swift action against the perpetrators.
